From a young age, Billie Jo demonstrated a passion for music, singing as soon as she could talk. Her distinctive style blends traditional country music with her unique attitude. Born in Dallas, TX, she reminisces about her early performances for her grandparents, showcasing a repertoire ranging from Shania Twain to the Dixie Chicks, Patsy Cline, Ray Price, and Loretta Lynn, reflecting her deep-rooted love for classic country.

Billie Jo’s public debut occurred at age nine at her local church, Lake Fork Baptist, marking the beginning of a journey that led to performances at various churches and local Opry venues. Noteworthy appearances include The Cotton Pickin’ Theatre in Point, TX, The Wylie Opry in Wylie, TX, and the Gladewater Saturday Night Opry in Gladewater, TX. Additionally, she had the honor of singing The National Anthem at the girls’ state basketball playoffs annually during high school, an achievement she attributes to the support of her superintendent, Mr. David Seago.

Billie Jo has become a cherished figure in Texas Country Music, having shared the stage with renowned artists such as Deana Carter, Gene Watson, Linda Davis, Barbara Fairchild, The Oakridge Boys, Diamond Rio, Justin Moore, Wade Bowen, Pat Green, and many others. A notable milestone in her career was the opportunity to open for Ray Price, an influential figure she deeply admired.

In 2022, Billie Jo was honored as the Female Vocalist of the Year and Artist of the Year at the Texas Internet Radio Charts Awards, with her band securing the title of Texas Country Music Showdown Winners in the Ft. Worth stockyards.

When asked about her musical pursuits, Billie Jo expressed, “Singing is the only thing I have ever wanted to do. God didn’t give me this voice to just sit at home with it. I believe He gave me this voice and the courage to go out and play shows every weekend. I have always had a heart for people, and getting to share my voice and my story through my songs means EVERYTHING to me.”
